We pride ourselves in our ability to obtain both Utah and out-of-state permits for home building.

Uinta Log Homes has built a number of off-the-grid homes where solar power is a great power option.  Solar packages range in size and cost. Things to keep in mind when building a solar system are:

— The amount of energy required by the home.

— Number of outlets, appliances and how much time the home will be in use during the week.

Tongue and Groove

Uinta log homes offers optional tongue and groove ceilings and wall coverings. tongue and groove is a great way to spruce up your log cabin. There are two main ways of applying tongue and groove . vertical and horizontal. The tongue and groove is applied with a finish nail gun , angle nailing through the tongue of each board into the stud or joist face nailing will create much unwanted work with finish later down the road. Here a few pictures of tongue and groove installed . call about details and special pricing.

Uinta log homes offers two different style of rail . hand hewed and milled both of these  types of railings are built from Doug fir (wood) . hand hewed railings are built in place with hand peeled balusters and posts. Our milled rail is built and shipped from our mill . milled railing is turned on a mill to size and length . while hand hewed is more rustic. Here a two examples of both types of rail we offer the top picture being hand hewed and the bottom being milled. call us for more details and pricing.
